ENS Gameday Preview: Flyers @ Oilers

Obviously the Oilers lost the other night but I’m still going to use the Nelly victory pic because why the hell not. I forgot to use it after the last win because they only mix one of those in every six games. Anyways, Philly is in town tonight after getting dusted by the Flames on Thursday. The Flyers are not a good hockey team. No sir. Outside of maybe two guys their offense is nearly non existent. Their defense is almost on par with the Oilers which says all you need to know about that. It’s a very a winnable game tonight for the Oilers and I sure hope that is the case because we here at ENS will be in the building enjoying some cold ones and some lack luster NHL hockey.

Pouliot – RNH – Eberle

Yakupov – Roy – Purcell

Hall – Lander – Miller

Hendricks – Gordon – Klinkhammer

Klefbom – Schultz

Marincin – Fayne

Ference – Nikitin

Hallsy back in the lineup tonight albeit on the third line. I don’t hate the move by Nelly at all deciding to keep his first line together. Obviously they’ve been absolutely fuego lately and hopefully they can keep it going tonight.

What Needs To Happen

It seems like ever since rebuild two began (2010), the Oil have one night a year on HNIC where they go bananas and light the lamp for six or seven. It has yet to happen this year and that’s all I need tonight. One time, Oil! Give it to me!

What Can’t Happen

Exactly one year ago fron this exact Saturday, I had my ass parked in the seats at Rexall to watch the Oil get put in a body bag by the Flames. 8-1. Maybe my darkest hour as an Oilers fan. I’ve rebounded from that night but there’s no telling what will occur if it happens again tonight.

What Is Going To Happen

Edmonton is due. The PP keeps clicking and Hall adds 2 in his return to the lineup. Oilers win 7-2. Yak with 5.
