Pistol Pete is revamping this roster like it’s nothing. Within the last five days, he’s been able to land 3 NHL defensmen, and a starting goaltender. Gryba will provide depth and physicality, Griffin Reinhart will hopefully turn into a solid top 3 0r 4 option at some point soon, and now Sekera is a legit option to play first paring minutes. Is he a bonafide top pairing guy? No, probably not. But he’s a hell of an upgrade at a reasonable cap hit and term.

Mark Letestu is a good signing as well. Former Bonnyville Pontiac. Good Alberta boy. After trading Boyd Gordon last night, it opened up a spot for this signing. Letestu is a guy who can play the wing and center and will be a very serviceable bottom six guy.

Bobby Stauffer is hinting that there will be another move coming. Nikitin cap dump? Schultz trade? One can only hope. Stay tuned to watch Pistol Pete work his magic.
