ENS Gameday Preview: Oilers @ Stars

The Oilers get back at it tonight after a couple of days off in Dallas spent watching the Jays take the Texas Rangers to the woodshed. After a couple of tough games to open the schedule in which the Oil have looked decent, aside from a couple of classic egregious turnovers in the d-zone. However, the team has yet to score a goal that wasn’t an own goal by Alex Pietrangelo. That changes tonight.

I’ll be making this quick because I’m on holidays decided to go catch a matinee this afternoon before the game starts. Blog life.

Pouliout – RNH – Purcell

Korpikoski – McDavid – Yakupov

Hendricks – Lander – Slepyshev

Gazdic – Letestu – Klinkhammer

Sekera – Fayne

Klefbom – Schultz

Davidson – Gryba

Taylor Hall missed morning skate due to illness and is questionable for tonight. I have faith. After finishing the game together on Saturday, Yakupov and McDavid get a look together tonight in Dallas.

Davidson draws in for Ference (thank God), and Anders Nilsson gets his first start of the season after beating Ben Scrivens out of camp.

What Needs To Happen

Maybe a couple of goals would be nice?? I think we’re due.

What Can’t Happen

What is Going to Happen

McDavid and Yakupov make sweet, beautiful music together in Dallas and propel the Oil to their first win of the season, 4-2. Yak with 4, all assisted by McDavid.
