Ryan Smyth Coming Out of Retirement to Play For The Stony Plain Eagles

SMYYYYTTTYYYYYY!!!

The last time we saw this guy on the ice he was skating victory laps at Rexall while every guy over the age of 20 was bawling their goddamn eyes out. Tonight the Oilers’ legend is set to make his senior AAA debut for the Eagles of Stony Plain, not to be confused with Innisfail Eagles who play in the same league. Classic.

If I’m being honest with you I have absolutely never heard of this team/league, but I’ll tell you right now there is a 1000% chance I’ll be getting hammered drunk and going to watch Smytty in the near future. I bet he sets the league record for powerplay goals in a game tonight in his debut.

Godspeed, Captian Canada.
